Description

Fit to Your GM Vehicle

“I swapped out the unit, reset the car by removing the ground cable, and it now runs smoothly. It's easy to set up and use, and it works as expected. This purge valve connects to the intake manifold and draws gas vapors from the vapor canister when the vent valve is commanded to open and sucked into the intake.” - Anthony B.

Why Buy Our Vapor Canister Purge Valve?

Great Replacement: This is an emission control component that GM recommends as a replacement for the original component in your vehicle.

Efficient: The fuel vapor flow from the vapor canister to the intake manifold is controlled by the purge valve. This vapor canister purge valve is made to fit your GM vehicle and provides the same performance, durability, and service life as the original equipment.

 📝Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is this a canister for the engine compartment or a canister for the fuel tank?

A: This canister is located near the throttle body/carburetor in the engine compartment and can be removed with a 10 mm socket.

Q: Is it likely that if this part fails, it will cause difficulties with vacuum leaks, such as stuttering?

A: Yes it could. To confirm the vacuum valve is working, remove it & try to blow through it, if you can blow air through, then it is leaking. It should open only after startup.

Less Hassle!

Looks same as the original. Squeeze the electrical clasp and slide the vacuum hose off with just one 10mm bolt. Fix it in 5-10 minutes. It's less of a hassle than changing the air filter.

Saves Money!

Saves Money! The repair company demanded $200 only to replace one item. It took me less than 10 minutes. I cleaned the throttle body for five minutes while I was there. The car hasn't been this responsive in a long time, and it hasn't gotten this much gas mileage.

Awesome Fix!

Awesome! Easy to install and use. My check engine light came on because the old part had an interior cracked seal of some type. The old broken purge valve was also making a clicking noise. I used my Autolink AL319 obdII meter/tester to reset/clear the check engine light after installing this part
