Managed to mess up rekeying my lock, thank God I found this because it saved me so much money! Works amazing & really quick too!

I had tried to rekey a lock from memory. Unfortunately, when completed neither the new key nor the old key worked. I messed up hard, after watching several videos, I came across this tool. I didn’t know this tool existed until I saw it.

I made a mistake while trying to rekey one of our locks. As a result, the lock could not be opened either with the old or the new key. My only option would be to replace the lock. But when I found this, I realized that i could "fix" the lock for a smaller pricepoint. I ordered it, and it worked just as described, saving me some money. I will save this in my toolkit just in case this happens again.

I lost my keys, then found out my kids had lost their keys also... 2 weeks without a key... then to the rescue came this wonderful piece of locksmith in a box.

Unfortunately, to rekey a lock, you have to have the original key. So, after a little research I found this item. I was able to rekey all of my locks within a short amount of time without having the original key or having to disassemble the internal workings of the lock. Nothing short of a miracle in my book. Even if you don't need one, I would buy one and put it in the toolbox. Highly recommended.
