    Great for repairs

As I had to repair a corroded line on our refrigerator, this item worked just fine on 1/4" OD refrigerant pipe; after replacement, I pulled a vacuum for a few hours, then recharged the system, and it is now running perfectly.

    Expands pipes easily

I've used it on copper lines ranging from 3/8 to 7/8 and have had no problems. I turn the tubing slowly and gradually extend it. The copper will rip if you quickly squeeze the tool all the way. The longer it takes, the bigger the copper tubing is. Spend additional money if you want a speedier swagging tool, or you may just braze in connections.
